Man held for molesting woman on flight after video goes viral

The Bhubaneswar Police has arrested a businessman Ravin Jhunjhunwala, is the chairman of the Orind for allegedly molesting a girl in an Indigo flight.  According to an airport official, an old man sitting behind her allegedly kept poking her from the gap in between the seats. The victim humiliated him in front of other passengers and recorded it on her phone. The matter came to light when the victim uploaded a video along with a message on her Facebook wall.  According to sources, the victim has briefed the whole incident on her Facebook wall.  The victim reportedly posted on Facebook: "This man on the seat behind mine, put his fingers in the seat gap to touch me!!! 60-cr scam: Police raid Adesh University, seize records

Bathinda, July 13 Panic gripped the employees of Adesh University here following police raids in connection with Rs 60 crore of financial irregularities related with the recent admissions. Though senior policemen are tightlipped over the issue, sources said that the irregularities are related with admissions to various medical courses. Police teams, led by Bathinda SSP Indermohan Bhatti, raided different accounts branches of the university and seized numerous soft and hard copies of university records. Apart from the financial transactions, documents related to the admission process and seats given to the students have been seized. Though none of the university authorities could be contacted despite repeated attempts, Bathinda SSP Indermohan Bhatti confirmed the development. Police raid Adesh University amid financial irregularity charges

BATHINDA: Police conducted a raid at the   Adesh University   campus near Bathinda on Monday evening and collected records from its accounts branch following complaints of misappropriation of funds. Adesh University, having medical and dental colleges under it, is mired in charges of financial irregularities. Police would scrutinize the records to look into alleged misappropriation of funds and misuse of the loans taken by the university. Sources said that   Adesh Foundation , which runs the university, had taken loans of Rs 84 crore from banks in Muktsar and a dispute arose over the use of the money. The foundation is also setting up a university near Ambala in Haryana. Dr H S Gill is   chairman   of Adesh Foundation and chancellor of the university, while Talwandi Sabo MLA Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu of SAD (Badal) is the president of the foundation. 60-Year-Old Gropes Woman on Indigo Flight; Says he 'Made a Mistake

A 32-year-old woman confronted a 60-year-old businessman, who allegedly groped her repeatedly on an Indigo flight from Mumbai to Bhubaneswar, and then videotaped him. She lodged a police complaint and posted the two videos on the social media. The police arrested the man after the plane landed at Bhubaneswar airport; however, they let him go after serving a notice to him. The police said he'll have to appear before the court once the date for hearing is finalised. "Yes we can allow the accused to go home in cases which have punishment (of) less than seven years,"  NDTV  quoted a police officer as saying. In the two videos that the woman later posted on YouTube, the man is seen asking for forgiveness and saying that he had made a mistake. WOMAN ACCUSES FELLOW PASSENGER ON BOARD KOLKATA-DELHI INDIGO FLIGHT OF MOLESTATION

Kolkata: A 50-year-old man was arrested on Monday at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport for allegedly molesting a female co-passenger on board a plane. According to the police the accused identified as Sanjay Kanad and the 30-year-old victim both are residents of Delhi and had boarded the early morning flight to Kolkata on Monday. Kanad was sitting next to the victim. As soon as the flight went mid-air the victim complained the Indigo Airline staff that she was molested by her co-passenger. The complaint was made to the captain of plane who made a different seating arrangement for both. After the plane landed and a formal complaint was registered at the NSCBI airport police station at Kolkata International Airport.
