Punjab Police booked Seabird International Immigration company owner in two cheating cases

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Police has registered two cases of cheating and criminal conspiracy against Gurinder Singh owner of Seabird International Private Limited, an immigration agent at Mohali having its office in Phase 11.

The cases were registerd following raid by Enfocement Directorare officials. A case under arms act has also been registered agaisnt Gurinder Singh on recovery of replica of a revolver. Gurinder Singh us absconding.

The police said that they have recovered 27 fake stamps of senior government officials including Deputy Commissioner Mohali and Executive Magistrates. Three stamps of different banks and a stamp of doctor have also been recovered. The exoensive toy pistol was recovered from his residence in sector 70.

The ED team had raided office of the immigration company after receiving complaint under Foreign Exchange  Management Act and recovered an amount of Rs.22 lakhs and some objectionable material.

The police has registerted case under sections 420,472,473 adn 120 B of IPOC in Phase 11 police station while another case under arms act has been registered in Sohana police station.

Body at forest resort: Mohali court denies anticipatory bail to Lt Col Sandhu

MohaliIn yet another blow to Lt Col BS Sandhu (retd), chairman of Worldwide Immigration Consultancy Services (WWICS) and owner of Forest Hill Resort in Nayagaon, a Mohali court on Wednesday dismissed his plea for anticipatory bail in the case of murder of a Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) staffer. Sandhu, who has been untraceable, was told to join investigations after police arrested three employees of his resort on March 26 for allegedly killing the 28-year-old Burail man and disposing of his body in Pinjore. Victim Abhishek Guleria had been missing since leaving a relative’s house in Nayagaon late on March 13. The employees had claimed they found Guleria’s body in a septic tank at the resort on March 22 and were told to dispose it of by Sandhu. On April 12, the Punjab and Haryana high court had rejected Sandhu’s anticipatory bail plea, calling it “premature” as the plea moved in the lower court on April 5 was still pending. Businessman arrested for 'molesting' young girl during Indigo flight

The Bhubaneswar Police has arrested a businessman Ravin Jhunjhunwala, is the chairman of the Orind   for allegedly molesting a girl in an Indigo flight.  According to an airport official, an old man sitting behind her allegedly kept poking her from the gap in between the seats.  The victim humiliated him in front of other passengers and recorded it on her phone. The matter came to light when the victim uploaded a video along with a message on her Facebook wall. According to sources, the victim has briefed the whole incident on her Facebook wall.  The victim reportedly posted on Facebook: “This man on the seat behind mine, put his fingers in the seat gap to touch me!!!
